He won THEM ALL.
A native of Palm Bay, Florida, David embraces his roots by adopting ‘Florida Man’ as a fun-loving moniker that flips the scripts and gives fans love following the #FloridaMan as he spans the globe with his running adventures.
Philanthropy has been increasingly important to David and he’s helped raise millions of dollars for Spinal Cord injury research, Local Run shops, and the Don Monti Foundation, among others. In 2020, at the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, he ran 100 miles straight in support of COVID relief workers, raising $28,000 and landing on CNN for an interview about his effort. He also raised $125,000 for the FoodBank4NYC by running across every borough in the city (a total distance of 75 miles) in just over 13 hours.
He holds partnerships with On Running and Red Bull and has been featured in campaigns with Maker’s Mark and Technogym.
Connecting people, running and culture has become a focus for David and is the founder and facilitator of two premier NYC-based events: the NYC Trail Fest in May and July’s 5k on the Beach (the NYC running community’s largest beach party). Both have quickly become staples on the city’s running calendar.
“I’m rooted in empowering people to move and explore the world.”
