TYRA GITTENS

Trinidad & Tobago native Tyra Gittens is a PUMA pro track & field athlete who qualified for the long jump finals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

One of the most promising talents of her generation - Tyra won 17 state Tennessee high school championships and three NCAA titles before turning pro, and broke Jackie Joyner Kersee’s combined long jump / high jump scores in a single heptathlon competition - Tyra was forced to learn from a young age how to separate her athletic accolades from her personal identity.

As much as she is celebrated for her accomplishments and sporting gifts, Tyra knows that the applause can disappear as soon as she steps off the track. Tyra dedicates her time and energy to developing the next generation of female athletes, not just through athletic pursuits but through teaching the practice of instilling a full, well-rounded sense of self.
